CIARP 2020 is a series of annual international conferences devoted to all aspects of pattern recognition, computer vision, artificial intelligence, data mining and related fields. This conference will be a forum for the exchange of scientific results and experiences, as well as the sharing of new knowledge, and the increasing of the co-operation between research groups in pattern recognition and related areas.
Paper submission procedure
Prospective authors are invited to contribute to the conference by submitting full papers by the Online Conference Service, by July 31st, 2020. Submissions should be written in English and their length should not exceed 10 pages including illustrations, results and references. Accepted contributions must be presented at the conference in English. All submissions will be peer reviewed for originality, technical content and relevance to the theme of CIARP 2020 by three members of the Program Committee. The final acceptance will be based upon double blind peer review of the full-length paper. All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the CIARP 2020, which will be published by Springer in Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Submissions should be prepared by following the instructions of Springer for the LNCS series (see https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings...). Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and to present the communication at the conference, if it is accepted.
Two conference awards will be given: the CIARP-IAPR Best Paper Award and the Medal Aurora Pons-Porrata, these two awards will be published as Special Section in the CMBBE Imaging and Visualization Journal.
The short abstracts will be evaluated for the following type of presentations:
- Short oral presentation (5 - 10 min)
- Poster presentation
You may submit an abstract for oral presentation to one of the symposium sessions, the complete list is provided here.
During the submission process please make sure to select the appropriate session/category. The local organising committee, reserves the option to accept abstracts to a different session than indicated by the authors. Please upload also a CV for the review of short abstracts.

- The title should not exceed 200 characters including spaces. Please limit the number of authors to no more than 5, and indicate each author’s affiliation. Do not use titles (e.g. ‘Dr.’, ‘Mrs.’) for author names.
- Abstracts are limited to 400 words, and should not be longer than 1 page.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Each registered participant can present only one oral presentation and/or one poster presentation.
Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the conference abstract book. By submitting an abstract to the CIARP 2020 congress, you transfer all Copyrights to CIARP 2020, for the purpose of publishing the abstract in any printed or electronic form. Author’s use of the material for educational purposes, inclusion in other publications, as well as posting to the author’s website is allowed.
All submissions will be reviewed by the CIARP 2020 scientific committee and decisions will be sent by September 9, 2020.
Presenting authors of all accepted abstracts will be required to register as delegates to the conference and pay the registration fee, as a condition for inclusion of their abstract in the program. Students with Department Head/Chair stating that the attendee is a full time student can apply as Student type of delegate.
